Testosterone Therapy
Has any male, an older person, had testosterone therapy?
I read a few articles and side affects sound scary. I was wondering what your doctor told you about this therapy. Or, if anybody had negitive repercussions like Prostate cancer, other cancers, heart problems, anything?
Plus I read there are a few brands and wondered which one your doctor prescribed for you?

@plynhky I'll look into it. It would be good to hear some testimony from guys who've had success with similar conditions to mine.
I am trying it now. It seems to have helped some. I read about the side effects but went forward anyway. It's been 6 months take the script full strength, then when I saw my levels above normal range I cut back to every other day.

My T went from 299/325 to 659 on 6.25 mg Enclomiphene per day. That was after 3 months. Going to continue and recheck in 3 months. No side effects noted at this point.

1 ReactionI am going to give Enclomiphene a try...sounds to me better than 3 hCG injections per week. My urologist wanted to confirm that my LUTEINIZING HORMONE (LH) are in the normal range before starter, however, that is done. I'll report as soon as possible and hope this is a winner.
FWIW, I was on HRT for 15 months but found out it significantly increased my red blood counts. My oncologist recommended I stop immediately. Counts have drastically decreased.
@csrb7007 before giving up, did you try daily or MWF injections? That worked for me, more level bloodwork and no sudden shock from a large dose causing your body to compensate. Hence worse side effects. What were your Hct, RBC, and Hemaglobin results? If you were feeling a lot better, I'd say give more frequent injections a try. I use an insulin needle, next to painless. I no longer have the anxiety about that once a week 25G 1" harpoon.
@fireman123 I had a choice between weekly injections or cream. I chose the cream option. My RBC numbers went from 550 to 375 in 10 days. Don’t have the data from the other values but my functional medicine physician told me to immediately cease the hurt until we find equilibrium. Once things settle down, we’ll reevaluate. But I can definitely feel the difference after stopping hrt.
My LUTEINIZING HORMONE (LH) is in the normal range, however, at 11. Since at the top of the normal range, my doctor said that Enclomiphene may not work at all. I'm wondering if others who took this drug had similar LH results.
