Dealing with Multiple Sclerosis: more relapses than remissions

Posted by bwjones85 @bwjones85, Apr 1, 2025

Hello, I’m new to multiple sclerosis. I suffer from a lot of discomfort, pain, numbness, tingling and weakness. I was formally diagnosed with MS relapsing, and remitting December 2024, even though I was told I may have it in January 2024. It feels like I have more relapses than remissions. I have started treatment, but seems like I cannot get much relief.

Yes, I understand what you are going through because I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in June 2026. I been experiencing a lot of discomfort, pain, tingling, and excruciating pain, memory problems. I already had myasthenia gravis. So, I started doing my research on this disease. I am also looking for people to talk to while I am going through this storm.

@slumpkin1 I was diagnosed with MS in October 1999 and have experienced all of what you are going through. The pain, depression and the realization that while your situation may improve you will never be free of this disease. I have been there and while you do your research remember there are others who can support you to try to help you.
