Years after prostate surgery: Is it okay to eat steak once a month?

Can someone who has been years post RALP without BCR please share if they have a steak once in awhile ? Would it be ok to eat a steak once or twice a month if that is the only red meat consumed?

@surftohealth88 - we always made sauerkraut when I was growing up (we raised probably 90% of our food ourselves).

When my wife and I were first dating, there came that rite of having to meet her parents, so I drove out to their house to have supper, and what was the first thing that struck me - when I got there, I noticed a big crock of sauerkraut curing in the corner!

“That’s the girl for me,” I thought. That was…almost 39 years ago.

Your husband is doing all the right things, and it's paying off in so many ways.

When it comes to healthy living and aging, I think there are three key pillars: diet, exercise, and sleep. Sleep is especially important because much of the body's repair processes—including DNA repair—occur during deep sleep.

I practice good sleep hygiene, but my sleep is still fragmented because of overactive bladder (OAB), so that's one area I'm actively working to improve.

Ha ha, ehhhhhhh, happy happy memories 🥰 !!!
I would give 5 years of my life to go back just for a month to the time when I just met my husband lol - angels were singing, heavens opened and somehow I flew through time and space just by very though of him. The magic never left actually even after almost 45 years, but still, being 18 and being sooooo madly in love is really something that can happen only at 18 😂 lol . I thank God every day that I had a privilege to experience that in this lifetime.

You are so right about sleep - I do not sleep well when I am stressed and it effects me a great deal in so many ways. : ( My husband however would be able to sleep though atomic war explosions , I am sure of that. Even if he gets up to go to the bathroom he has zero recollection of it , that is how deep his sleep is. I always joke that if I ever happen to have something to confess lol I should wake him up, tell him and he would have no recollection in the morning 😂 !!! My conscience would be clear and he would not remember what actually happened ha ha.

I can't stand broccoli, cauliflower or brussels sprouts. I did eat a chicken sandwich today, but it was fried. Then enchiladas tonight and there wasn't any turkey or chicken in them. It amazing my lipids panels are so good. Did do a 2.08 mile walk today, so that was one thing good, no weights waiting on what doctor says about swollen area. I do like salads and even spinach, but most likely put on too much dressing? Had fish last night, but again it was fried.

Me neither! But I have found that I can put raw broccoli on my salad and barely notice any change in the taste of the salad.
