I am thinking with this bulge running up right side of groin, I may have to have something done. There has never been bulge there before his repair. Thinking attaching mesh thing poked holes and now c one loose ripping where it was attached. Prior to surgery thst was suppose to be just prostate, it was flat and no pain.

I don’t know how quickly the bulge appeared but it could be some scar tissue or failing mesh. Have you shown your doctor. They can easily do an ultrasound of the groin

@diverjer The surgeon made a judgement call and even though there is a debate over whether his actions were warranted, it’s past history now.
Take those surgical notes and find a good hernia repair surgeon - especially one who does revisions on failed surgeries.
Mesh does sometimes come loose and his ‘four or five’ tacks may have been insufficient since it was, in his words, a ‘large’ inguinal hernia.
