@sl303 I think they removed the black box warning. After years of additional studies, according to my rheumatologist, they have found that the incidence of osteosarcoma is not greater in the group taking Evenity than the general population. I was on Forteo for two years and had great improvement in my spine, but not my hips. I'm now on Evenity to see if I can get hip improvement. I just hate the side effects of ALL the osteoporosis medications!!!

@ou14mejc I'm going to have to "back up" on this post....my apologies. It was actually teriparatide (Forteo) that had the black box warning for osteosarcoma, not Evenity. The black box warning has been removed. I believe cardiovascular events are the most serious side effect with Evenity. Sorry I got that mixed up....I finished two years of Forteo with no major side effects. I've only had two Evenity infusions.
