That is disgusting to hear. My surgeon is the same but different. There are people in the office that have driven seven hours to see him and then they have to wait four hours for their appointment but when he does see them, Time stands still for them and they get his full attention. Sometimes he doesn’t show up because an emergency surgery intervenes. Here’s a tip try not to leave without a visit summary. Before I leave any of my doctors offices at UCSD there’s an after visit summary that’s uploaded. It’s the notes from the visit even if there’s more to come things have to be done. There’s at least a paragraph of what transpired. I would reach out to your Mayo Clinic doctors and ask the office staff for your after visit summary. I would also ask if you can get a comment on the x-ray that was done during your visit. There was an x-ray taken during your visit, correct ?! I know you said there was an MRI but for my orthopedic surgeon the MRI always comes after the visit. The orthopedic surgeons work off of the condition and positioning of your bones so a simple x-ray in their office tells them everything they need to know to tell you about your immediate condition. They may want a current MRI done after the visit to give them a more in-depth assessment but really, for them to ascertain what they need they just need a simple quote that day “x-ray if you’re having problems with a qualified provider at a distance try to research something closer with the doctor that has awesome reviews. I am sorry you have to suffer this!
