Miralax: anyone taking it daily?

Re MiraLAX: has anyone been able to convert the dosage on the cap to teaspoons or tablespoons? For time being, that’s the way I prefer rather than grams.

Use your teaspoon or tablespoon and fill the cap spoon by spoon while counting. When the cap is full you will know.

I just eyeball it, usually take 1/2 capful.

Yes, I've been taking 1/2 cap daily for a couple of years. We are doing this to try to help with my inflammation.

Yes, I take miralax daily and I have for about 10 years. I put it in my morning coffee or tea, and if I miss a day, I have bloating and cramps. I have had intestinal issues since the age of 13. I took a whole bottle of baby aspirin at age 3 and that was my first stomach pump. I don't remember my life with out pain. I had part of my intestine removed in 1994 (it knotted) and I have suffered several obstructions and partial obstructions since then. I never want an IG tube again so I make sure that I don't miss my miralax. My doctor told me to take it daily, that it wouldn't hurt me. Do you think it's dangerous to take every day?

Two doctors told me it’s very safe to take daily if that eases your mind any.

Yes intake 1/2 dose daily

I was told to take it daily in the morning by my last GI along with taking 1Tablespoon of Metamucil inthe evening. I always drink a lot of water so it actually caused fecal incontinence(sharts) so am cutting back on it. I had another GI before that tell me to take it twice a day, he said both he and his daughter did it. So it won’t actually hurt to take twice a day but could give you unwanted side effects

@grrranny So, what made you decide to take just occasional sips instead of drinking a glass of water with a capful of Miralax added to it?
