Posted by ljhumphries72 @ljhumphries72, 3 days ago

Hey yall , my name is Lore, and im 54, and I have neuro surgeons and orthos at Emory in Atl. The neuro surgeon wants to do a very complex total spinal reconstruct on all 3 levels. These are the biggest of my diagnosis... Degenerative Scolosis, Levoscolosis, Dextro scolosis, Rotary Kyphosis, Ankyling Spondylitis, Spinal Stenosis, Facet disease, numerous broad herniated disc's i.pendong spinal cord and or thecal sac, bulging disc's bone spurs all along spine and most if these are bilateral. Listhesis and I could go on and on. The degree of my curve is 33 to 36 degrees. I've lost 5 inches in height through the years one inch in the last year alone. Are they anything out there for me other tgan that major surgery that is available

@ljhumphries72 I've been going to a Schroth practitioner which is nothing like traditional PT. Schroth is recommended for scoliosis but not sure about the other spine issues you mention.

AI overview: The Johns Hopkins Medicine Schroth Method is a specialized, 3-D physical therapy program for scoliosis and kyphosis. It uses customized exercises and angular breathing to de-rotate, elongate, and stabilize the spine, aiming to halt curve progression, reduce pain, and restore posture without surgery.

tillymack, Shroth is probably a slow process. Can you tell if it is helping. How long have you been having treatment. Thanks
