@jc76 Thank you for your positivity. So much negativity about Amiodaronne. I think it is worth a try. On bisoprolol I was having too many AFib episodes. No quality of life. Couldn’t plan anything.

Amiodarone has been used for arrythmias for decades. It has been a life saver for many.

My EP told me takes some time for the drug to infiltrate all the tissues in the heart but once is does is known to calm down the heart and restrict heart going into VTAC.

It has been a life saver for many. For many that I know they have been on the drugs long term. A friend of mine had AFIB and was on 200 mg of amiodarone and it was reduced to 100 mg a day. His EP said will use that dosage for long term treatment and will do test along the way to make sure any toxicity is caught and treated.

The toxicity warnings do not mean you will get it just a caveat for this drug just like a lot of drugs the users need to know about side affects and what to look for.

If you are reading posts on MCC you will see a lot of posts about statins and negative comments on side affects. And many like me that had no side affects to long term use of statins (decade).

Good luck. Just know is a powerful drug that works.
