I'm 76 and comtemplating a septoplasty to correct my deviated septum but have no experience with nose trauma that I can remember. I think it's good that you've taken the first step to get help for the symptoms you are experiencing. You mentioned the MRI shows that the bridge of your nose is crushed and you are waiting for an upcoming consult with the doctor. Waiting is always the hard part. I think not knowing what may have caused the bridge of your nose to be crushed can also cause some anxiety. I have found that it helps me when I'm waiting for a doctors appointment to write down a list of questions that I would like answered by the doctor and take that list with me to my appointment. This helps me to not forget my questions when talking with the doctor. Sometimes I don't need to refer to the list as writing it down helps me remember. I'm hoping you can give us an update after your consult.
