Post Covid, night time, shortness of breath and racing heart.
I have had Covid several times and the last four times, I have been experiencing night time shortness of breath (SOB) and rapid heart beats. Each time, so far, has lasted three months. Is anyone else experiencing this and if so what has helped eliminate these symptoms?

I started drinking Pedialyte just to stay hydrated and I noticed that every time I drank it my heart rate and blood pressure would settle down. The heart thing seems to be related to electrolyte levels. I eat very healthy food, but my body still loses electrolytes. Hope this helps.
I had the same issues -racing heart, palpitations, high blood pressure - until I discovered that it was an electrolyte imbalance. My doctor had recommended Pedialyte and whenever I drank it my heart settled down. Googling for information, sure enough COVID can and does affect that balance. Pedialyte temporarily corrects it, but even eating a really healthy diet now has not fixed the problem. I still need the supplement. Check into that. It might help.
My racing heart was calmed by Pedialyte. I was just drinking it for hydration when I noticed that it settled my heart down. It's the electrolytes. Your heart needs them, but your gut isn't functioning normally to break down vitamins and minerals, so it's not getting what it needs. Medicaid is paying for mine for now because I need it every day.
Same for me...electrolytes all day long does the trick. I use Key Nutrients electrolytes sweetened with stevia. I use 1/2 of their scoop in 16 ounces of water and keep mixing another one up so I can sip all day long. There are also unsweetened electrolytes if you are not a fan of flavorings and sweeteners. At 6 years in to Long COVID, I don't need as much electrolytes as I did at first but I still need them,
I wished that someone had told me about taking electrolytes for my racing heart, I suffered so much anxiety from it, you’re fortunate to know that it works.
