Hi,
I'm so sorry that you are having these problems. I have taken care of my husband with lung cancer and my mother with pulmonary emphysema. Both of them had Prednisone prescribed for them. They both had bad reactions to Prednisone and couldn't continue to take it. Since you already stopped the Prednisone and the symptoms went away that's probably a good thing. However, see your doctor as soon as you can this next week or send him an email if your health care system is set up for you to do that. Often there are often nurses on call at larger hospitals that you can call for advice. You might look into that. Read the side effects of Prednisone and your other medications you are taking. It might explain your other problems. You can get that information from the Mayo Clinic Website.

Prayer also helps. God made you and he can fix you. I'll say a prayer for you also.
I wish you the best.

I finally got in touch with an Optometrist on call. I too was worried about going off prednisolone. He felt it was the antibiotic drops that was causing the reaction. That was what I told the female Optometrist that I saw on Friday, who called the male surgeon who told me to just take Systane every Two hours. I am so much better now. No itching or discharge. I hate to say it, but just another case of 2 females being dismissed by a male. I am 80 years old with 2 Masters degrees. Duh, I think I know what I am talking about. Thank you for your response. (BTW prednisolone is what my cat who has IBD takes bc cats can’t use prednisolone. Prednisolone changes to prednisone in her body). I must be a cat!
