Side effects from taking Rinvoq for Peripheral Spondylitis
Treating peripheral spondylitis Since August 2025 have tried biologics (Simponi Aria) did not work as joint and tendon pain increased and had severe allergic reaction from Remicade. In May 2026 switched to Rinvoq, a JAK inhibitor and in June first had gum issues that resolved, then some acne on forehead that resolved and then started experiencing clumps of raised itchy blisters on my arms, legs and hands. Will be seeing a dermatologist today 7/2 since my rheumatologist said I needed a biopsy to determine if the cause is related to Rinvoq. Has anyone else experienced this reaction; and if so, what was the diagnosis, was the reaction only temporary, did you require medication or did you have to switch to another class of drugs and if so, what class? I'm hoping this can resolve itself since the Rinvoq has helped tremendously with my pain. Thank you.

I have had all of these same side effects too on Rinvoq! The benefits outweigh them though for me. I’ve been using a topical steroid on some, others just vanish in a day or two. It’s strange.
