Tymlos causing belly fat?

I’m on Tymlos for about 2 1/2 months now. I’m not usually concerned about my weight. I stay pretty stable. I’ve noticed that my belly seems to be getting fatter. Has anyone experienced this belly fat situation from Tymlos? Is there anything I can do about it? Why is it happening? Thanks for any input.

I too developed belly fat, never seen before. I am off Tymlos after 2 years and my bone density increased, but the belly fat is still there. I am 72 years old and work out daily. I am happy with the increased bone density, but hate the blubber around the middle that does not go away.

@happiness5 I agree. I had just lost 25lbs then had to start with Tymlos. After 2 months or so I noticed my belly getting bigger. It is so very depressing and makes me want to stop even now after being on it since last October. Especially hearing it isn't going away after 2 years of sticking with this protocol. I truly hoped I would hear on here that it went away after finishing the 2 year dose. 🥺😭😭😭

@blessednanaof5 I posted a similar topic not long ago. The feedback I received was that the belly fat & bloating did return to normal after finishing Tymlos for some, but not yet for others. I'm counting on an improvement, when I finish!!

My belly has added a fat layer. It’s added 2.5 inches and I can’t wear my fitted jeans.

@salvidore yes I do. My MD said ok to do thighs. I’ve been alternating between there and outer thighs as my quads don’t have much fat. Now my thighs look lumpier, lol
