@nannybb No, this sounds like a tens unit, but it is a specific treatment for pain. Developed by Dr. Miller at Johns Hopkins if my memory serves me right. I can't bring up the name right now. I'll try to recall it and post it here. Glad the TENS unit has helped. Ooh, ooh, Scrambler therapy is it's name. Ha! the old memory still has it! The electrical impulses are designed to "scramble pain signals so the body doesn't recognize then as pain.

@heisenberg34 Did you happen to read where researchers recently came up with something like what you are speaking of, but it targets the response area in your brain for additions? People who have smoked, been on opioids, alcoholism and even OCD are basically "cured." I'm wondering what it could do with pain receptors. It would be interesting to see the difference between what you mentioned and the new discovery. Interesting to say the least. Thanks for responding. 💕
