Has anyone tried red light therapy

Like most of us, I’ve tried various treatments to no avail. Has anyone tried red light therapy? My symptoms involve numbness from the knees down and some weakness in my hands.

I haven’t had any recent scans since I was first diagnosed several years ago but judging from the lack of pain, I am assuming the red light therapy is keeping the inflammation down and therefore the pain. I am 72 years old and have a lot of miles on my body so I am thankful I have found something that keeps me off NSAIDs.

@1oldsoul
Thanks
Are you using the Red Rush 400 for the Degenerative Discs?
Exactly how do you postion it relative to your lower back......parallel
to the lower bacK and 6 or so inches away?
Sitting., Standing Lying?
What are the settings you use on the machine?

Yes, I use it parallel to my back and stand or sit in front of it. It comes with a pulley so you can put a hook on the wall and raise it or lower it depending on which part of the body you need therapy. The red light is preset so you only need to push it on, and the NIR (near infrared) I used the 1st pulsing mode which was supposed to be relaxing. I would stand about 8” from the device for 10 minutes a day. I once had bad pain in my neck that NSAIDs weren’t helping and I used it twice a day for several days and it took care of it! When I bought it I used the discount code ENERGY BLUEPRINT for $100 off. Also there was another code TRUDYREDTHERAPY for the same discount. If you google Red Rush 400 user manual it tells you more about the machine. I have been totally amazed how much it has helped. I’m sure there are other great red light devices out there- but this was recommended by Ari Whitten and Trudy Scott, both of whom I follow. I really bought it last year for the plantar fasciitis but now I use it for my back and neck. It’s a powerful machine so I use it 5 days and then take 2 days off.

Where did you locate the red light therapy?

I heard about it on a podcast by Ari Whitten (Energy Blueprint) and he gave it a really good recommendation and had a link to order it with a discount code ENERGY BLUEPRINT for $100 off. (That was last year so I don’t know if that code still works). If you google Red Therapy Company they are the ones who sell it. I also follow Trudy Scott and she had a discount code TRUDYREDTHERAPY which also was $100 off. Or just google Red Rush 400 and it should take you right to their website. I found out Trudy Scott (everywomanover29) uses the same machine when she was blogging about redlight therapy and I emailed her to tell her how effective it was for me!

@3740 Thank you. I wanted to buy some gloves because my hands are so bad along with the rest of my body of course but now I will pass on that. Frustration is setting in. I have dealt with this illness for six years and it continues to worsen! I know so many others feel this way too. I can’t help myself get better but neither can the doctors. All they want to do is load us up with pills that just cause other side effects like high blood pressure, hoarseness and the list goes on! We are all supposed to put that smile on our face, thank everyone for caring and keep on trucking. I’m tired of “trucking”!

@tessie63 I use The Protocol from a group called The Protocol Works on Facebook. I've used it for about 14 years. It does help my pain levels significantly but it has been slowly progressing.

Haven't been doing the exercises that helped get me back to walking after my back surgery since they increase my discomfort. The neuropathy in my feet and legs started about 5 months after surgery. I mentioned that I've been going to acupuncture which, if anything, has made the neuropathy worse. I'm going to go back to Physical Therapy so I can learn some gentle exercises that won't be painful. Before acupuncture I could walk for 20 minutes or so. Hoping that the Physical Therapy will help me to be able to use walking as an exercise again. Thinking of stopping the acupuncture since it's been about 2 months and it hasn't helped at all. I mentioned starting Alpha-Lipoic Acid to my doctor and she said it's not likely that it will help neuropathy.

@lesx R lipoic Acid does help me a lot and has done so for 14 years along with B12 and other nutrients in The Protocol. It is a Facebook group called The Protocol Works.

Thanks. I'll look into R Lipoic Acid and B12 again. Also, I'll see if I can find "The Protocol Works" on Facebook.
