Has anyone had a reverse shoulder replacement on both shoulders?

Posted by jprust @jprust, Jan 22, 2024

I just had my second reverse shoulder replacement done 5 days ago. The first went really well and I recovered quickly. This is my left and dominant side. It seems much more swollen and painful than the first. I had a fever for 4 days ranging from 100 to 102.

My hand has a lot more numbness and my forearm is cramping up. I know it will get better. The surgeon thought he could repair the rotator cuff tear so first went it with a scope, but there was too much damage and the tear was bigger than they thought.
What are others experience with both shoulders having a reverse shoulder replacements? Did you have good range of motion and function after a few months?

I had 2 reverse shoulder replacements done 7 years ago with no problems, a lot of exercises and icing helped me through.
With having fever, I would immediately call my surgeon,, in case you need antibiotics for a few more days to avoid an infection.
Good luck for you ♥️

I have had both done. This recent one is higher than the other one (shoulder). Has this happened to you? Mine is really noticeable.

Reverse shoulder replacement about 8 years ago, other shoulder 3years ago
Two different surgeons. First, amazing recovery! Second, not so fast or pain free. Bought bras that fasten in the front. 🙂
