@dbicher I thought I sent a reply to you, but I don't see it. If this is a repeat, apologies (trying to figure this system out). Did they do an EEG to diagnose the silent seizure? Just wondering how it as diagnosed since you are on medication. They gave me 2 doses of Keppra in the hospital but didn't continue it since my EEG was normal and didn't indicate seizures. The side effects of some of the antiseizure medications are sometimes awful along with neuropathy medications. I will continue to pursue the reason for my symptoms. Are your repeat MRI's showing no growth?

@kellieboothwalker Hi Kellie: I call it a ‘silent seizure’ since it wasn’t an epileptic (moving) kind of seizure, just me staring at the wall. Luckily my dog barked until my son came in! I remember almost nothing about going to the hospital, so no idea what tests were done, which is not a bad thing! I’ll ask my PCP next time I see her what tests were done. It’s been 2+ years and I’m only now forcefully pursuing why I can’t walk any distance and don’t have any energy. My new cardiologist is checking my heart for atrial fibrillation, but he says both my ECGs look fine. I see my neurologist regularly, have my yearly MRIs (no new growth), a
podiatrist visit, a neurological nerve test, etc. Every doctor says I don’t show any physical or neurological problems, but they do believe me now and keep searching. As I said earlier and truly mean: “Keep taking any tests suggested, going for your MRIs, and don’t ever give up! I’m rooting for you.” Good luck, Deb
