Darzalex as standalone maintenance treatment of Multiple Myeloma (MM)?
Is anyone using Darzalex as a stand alone maintenance treatment for Multiple Myeloma? I have been MRD negative for a 18 months and wanted to cut back on the Revlimid. I will still get my monthly Dar injection and blood tests to monitor.

I just started Darzalex while on Revlimid. I am hoping to get rid of one soo .
@theocratic @mmark my husband started darzalex and pomalyst but some months in to treatment he needed an eye surgery. Since his myeloma was in check and he can’t take pomalyst without aspirin the doctor just removed the pomalyst for a while. The eye surgery turned into six surgeries over many months, the doctor said the plan was always to eliminate the pomalyst eventually so let’s just not go back on it. He has remained at MRD with just Darzalex.
I hope this helps.
Have you talked to your doctor about removing the revlomid?

When I spoke to my Dr about the possibility of reducing my dosage of Revlomid, he suggested doing away with it altogether. I'm still getting monthly doses of the Dara along with blood testing so we can make another adjustment if my numbers start to rise.
I'm just a little nervous about losing my MRD status.

1 ReactionBoy, I sure understand the nerves. Our doctor explained that the pomalyst was so that the darzalex didn’t have to do all the heavy lifting alone, and then he would get rid of it to save it for if and when he needs it again. We found that all of the side effects that were really bothersome were coming from the pomalyst.
He has been in and out of responsemany time and even had some extended treatment breaks over the years. When it starts to rise they knock it back again.
I hope this gives you hope, and peace.
I was told I could stop the monthly daratumumab if I wanted since my condition has stabilized. I decided to continue to be sure I didn't backslide on my condition. I have multiple myeloma and amyloidosis. So I do a monthly lab test and daratumumab shot. I do daily pills of famciclovir to prevent shingles.
