I'm worried I had a stroke?

Posted by ehdog @ehdog, 1 day ago

I woke up one day and saw my eyelid was very slightly drooping.. my partner said he didn't notice but I don't know if I had a stroke.

I have no other symptoms of a stroke. Is there any sources that show what happened to me isn't a stroke or is?

That wasn’t a stroke. What you experienced happens normally.

I'm not a doctor, but I did have a stroke more than 7 years ago.
What you experienced may have been scary, but was probably not a stroke.
Bell's Palsy, maybe, but even that seems unlikely.
At any point were you confused, unable to speak, have balance issues, feel numb on one side, have one side of your face droop, have a terrible headache, couldn't swallow properly?

If you had none of those, I'd relax. Sometimes worrying about something can be more harmful.

@ashlynnmae - do you by chance have the original link for this to Johns Hopkins? If so, it would be great to post that.
