peripheral neuropathy with shaking when you 1st wake up
does anyone with peripheral neuropathy have shaking when they 1st wake up? Mine is the worst in my legs, but it seems like the entire body is shaking. I sit and wait a while and then I have the strength to get up on my feet

This sounds like the feelings many of us with Neuropathy and/or Restless Leg Syndrome have posted about. Check Mayo Connect for posts with “Vibrations upon Waking” too - it may be useful.
My first experience being awoken of shaking … I was sure it was an earthquake (SoCal girl)!
To be honest, I hadn’t drawn the connection to Neuropathy before your post, but it seems very probable!
Neuropathy reveals itself differently in so many individuals, we all just deal with the current painful symptoms with topicals, exercise, the list is quite long, but my experience reports none of these are “cure for Neuropathy”. 🙁

3 ReactionsI have motor neuropathy which causes tremors. Doing an MRI on me is very hard since I can’t keep my legs still. Since my neuropathy is autoimmune related here is what I have severe axonal sensorimotor dysautonomia peripheral polyneuropathy, small fiber neuropathy,
cardiac autonomic neuropathy also called CAN ( causes bradycardia /tachycardia and my blood pressure consistantly charges high/low) once diagnosed the electrophysiologist gives you eight years to live), and CIDP. Neuropathy is progressive it moves to anywhere you have nerves. The neurologist doesn’t tell you until it starts happening and you no longer feel your hands or legs. I don’t understand why they don’t tell you the truth.
Which really frustrates me. I live in Texas and had to go to Boston to see a research neurologist to discover that my tremors were from the motor neuropathy. It just says movement disorder. They need to clarify the meaning, My body no longer regulates my body temperature. So I stay cold. I have autoimmune neuropathy lupus, sojourns, Hashimotos and mixed tissue disease.
