No. It is using bioidentical hormones of estradiol testosterone, and a bioidentical pill of progesterone to balance your system. You have to see an integrative medicine specialist for this extensive blood work has to be done. A lot of women are finally getting help. Or I my area of NC it is called functional medicine. The pellet lasts 12 weeks. However it is important to note my original Medicare and my supplemental do not cover the pellet. Here it is 300-400 dollars. interestingly my husband's testosterone pellet is 700.
The blood work is covered though. There are a number of YouTube presentations that discuss the pellet and show how it is inserted.
