Shortness of breath after stroke. Anyone have this?
I had a stroke in 2022 and have shortness of breath. I am treated for asthma as well so maybe that is the reason for my shortness of breath. I am 84 and unable to walk very far without stopping to breath. Am also obese. I am wondering if stroke has affected others with their breathing. Am also on various medications which have shortness of breath as side effects. What steps would you take to approach this problem?
Thank you.

I haven't had breathing trouble since my stroke in 2018.
Pain, yes. Insomnia, yes. Limited mobility, yes.
I'm sure you don't need me to tell you that losing weight will help you. My doctor gets after me about my weight. All I can say is, "Eating is the only thing I do that doesn't hurt."
Still, I've lost about fifteen pounds, and I do feel a little better.
