Non-constipating Iron supplements?

I need an iron capsule supplement for anemia, but even the lowest 5mg Kirkman iron capsule every-other-day constipates me.
Any suggestions?

Don't know if this helps but my husband had the same thing happen but it subsided after 3 weeks.

New Chapter Fermented Iron Complex caused no problems for me.

Do you have a good health food store or co-op or you live? There are plant base, iron supplements, and they do work. I used them for many years because I couldn’t take the normal ones due to constipation and the plant based did help me a lot. I no longer need it so I do wish you the very best.

I have major issues with Iron and constipation. I have been anemic most of my life and had tried so many different types of iron and nothing worked. As a teen my doctor had me taking Geritol… 😝

Then a few years ago they came out with a product called Slow Fe Iron tablets. It worked so much better with way less side effects. I should mention I still have to take Miralax every day because of my constipation but I am no longer anemic.

Hope that helps. {{{{hugs}}}}}
