Results with Vitamin K2 MK4?
Hello, I’m new to the support community and wanted to ask if anyone in this group has taken vitamin K2 MK4 with vitamin D3 to increase their bone density. There are studies on it and I’d like to hear from women with osteoporosis who have taken it and what their experiences have been, improvement or no improvement.
Thank you!

2 ReactionsI've taken it for years but I've also relied on many other interventions including medication, diet, weight training, etc., so I can't say that it alone has made a difference. My T-scores haven't changed much over the years (osteopenia in my spine, osteoporosis in my hips) but I did have a vertebral compression fracture in 2023. The only thing that improved my T-score was one year of treatment with Evenity (30% improvement).

1 ReactionI have failed Fosamox, Prolia and other tx for osteoporosis due to side effects. I am taking D3 and K2 with no issues.

2 ReactionsI am 76 with severe osteoporosis. For several months, I've been taking Vitamin K in high doses: 180mcg of vitamin K2 MK-7 (Menaquinone-7) TrueVantage brand and 45,000 mcg (45 mg) of vitamin K2 MK-4 (Menaquinone-4) Life Extension K2 High Potency brand. These high doses are discussed more in a topic in this support group titled: Vitamin K: High Doses of MK-4 and MK-7 Show Promising Results.
I don't know if they are helping since I've only been taking them a few months. I don't think they can improve my BMD, but just hope they can help me maintain what I have now.

1 Reaction@malama I will, but don't think I've been taking the high K doses long enough to make an impact.
