So sorry for all you are going through. I had a routine hip replacement and woke up in recovery with paralysis of my outer leg from mid-thigh down, my ankle and most of my foot and have drop foot. It’s been 6 months and no change. If you could share what you did in water therapy it would be appreciated. Also info on comfortable day and night braces. Thanks so much.

I started in a pool high temp 103 degrees.
One at a time lifted my leg as high as I could, then flex, then stand on toes the routine was about 30 times each. Then they moved to a new facility and didn't have a large pool, so they had an underwater treadmill. I can't remember how long but I think about 30 minutes 3x a week. It is easy to move and lift your leg in the water and it is not as painful. The PT person would devise the routine. I wish you good luck. don't give up, at just the moment something good can happen you don't want to miss your chance. I worked a long time. Just had the hard plastic brace for use in daytime walking.
