Choosing between permanent colostomy vs temporary ileostomy?

I haven’t had any replies to my question. Just want to clarify the choice she is facing is between the permanent way or the temporary way that requires 2 surgeries. Thoughts please

@browndognotnow I currently have a Urostomy, but was diagnosed with colorectal cancer last Sept. I have to decide about surgery soon. I also have lots of scar tissue & problems from 2 previous cancers. I was told IF I decide on surgery I will have a Colostomy. That would mean 2 bags for me & I just can't wrap my head around it. So far, I just keep saying No & putting it off as long as I can.
Look for an Ostomy Group for your sister. I attend one in person once a month and have learned lots!
