@tennisguynri, this must be very disconcerting. Doxycycline is not typically known for causing neurotoxicity, although there are known drug interactions with other medications. I'm sure this has been investigated.

Clearly something is going on. Have other causes of the neurotoxicity been investigated like Lyme disease or something that might not be related to taking doxycycline?

@colleenyoung I've been trying to find care at Mayo Phoenix, and though I have heart doctor there and GI doc, they keep telling me my primary has to refer me to a dept at Mayo, yet my primary says why is Mayo not just getting me to the right department to look further into things. It has been frustrating. I think doxy has messed.my gut health up, but Mayo does not really have tests for microbiome. So it is hard, and I emailed patient advocate as well just to ask to be seen by correct department but have not gotten anywhere..

I was fine before Doxy, and now it messed me up. Not sure what dept can look into activated viruses etc like lyme like you mentioned. Just trying to get Mayo Phoenix to listen as I've lost 15 pounds and have no appetite after doxy.

Thank you again for helping me navigate what this drug did to me.
