@rcole90, I see you are no longer coming alone to Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville. That will be nice to have someone with you. None-the-less, you might find some of the tips in this related discussion helpful:

Good for you geting as many things arranged as you can before your first appointment. It can be a bit unsettling to not have all appointments detailed before your arrival. This is beccause the subsequent tests and appointments will be based on your first appointment with General Intermal Medicine (GIM). They will be your main point of coordination, like a project manager sort of. From that initial appointment, it will be determined if you need testing and appointments with other departments and specialists. Then you'll experience the full Mayo effect. These appointments will be scheduled and appear in your patient portal in priority order, as many of them as needed and during this first visit. All this will be coordinated with YOU in mind and the center of focus.
Keep asking questions. We'll be virtually by your side as you navigate these new waters. 🙂

@rcole90 You mention being excited and anxious. This is totally understandable.
One thing that helps me prepare is to research the provider I will see so I know as much as I can before meeting them. There is something about feeling like I know a bit about who I will meet with, even if it’s only a photo or where they are from that is calming.
I found information about your doctor if you haven’t seen it and would like to review more about him:

I am interested to follow how you are doing. Will you come back and let me know how your appointment goes?
