@karukgirl I would choose open heart septal myectomy if they would let me. I am 72 and physically in shape to do this. It would be like a one and done it seems, for me.

@priscillaj I was 3 weeks shy of my 76th birthday in 2022 when I had a septal myectomy at Mayo, age was not a factor. I was fit, never smoked - I was referred to Mayo by my home cardiologist. Please find out your doctor's professional opinion about surgery and it may be a good idea to seek a second opinion. I highly recommend a COE (Center of Excellence) where many are performed each year.
