Im at the beginning of this journey but just found out I have a value of 379.7, which is also extremely high. I had a stroke in January without having super high ldl at the time, or ever-105. My overall cholesterol was 204, and my hdl was 89 and triglycerides were 56.

I was immediately put on the highest dose of atorvastatin 80 mg and now my neurologist wants me to take Repatha, and possibly Plavix. I also have bronchiectasis and MAC and osteoporosis and need a knee replacement. A lot on my plate. There are three drugs targeted to lipoprotein (a) in phase 3 trial so we may have something in a few short years. For now, the doctors are very aggressive about getting the ldl levels as low as possible to lower the overall risk and Repatha has been shown to lower the Lp(a) by 20-30%. It's the best they have for now. I already had a stroke--was very fortunate with no permanent visible damage but now I am in a very high risk group. I wish you all the best in this journey as well. Stressing won't help. Just take really good care with the factors you can control and hopefully we will get help before too long on this.

@paxmundi I am in a similar position with LPa of 320. After 3 months of Repatha I am at 179. Still too high but better than it was. Only side effect was the sniffles.
