Welcome to the group. Sorry you have to go through the pain and just my opinion because i am not a doctor but had the same pain you are referring to and in my case my hip was out. My chiropractor put it back in place and because i went to long with it out, it took 3 adjustments b4 it stayed in place. hope this helps an x-ray should tell you either way. A good chiropractor would take one anyway to make sure that is the issue. Have a blessed day.
