1 Reaction@botterd I feel your pain. Lidocaine helps for a bit. I started using magnesium cream with arnica and it helps me go back to sleep and relax . Some have had good results with acupuncture… some not.
Good luck!

1 ReactionWelcome @sas1413, Thanks for sharing what helps you get back to sleep and relax. It sounds like you also have neuropathy pain at night. Is that what brought you to Mayo Clinic Connect?
Benadryl helps me sleep...
@botterd
Tylenol is not so effective with nerve-related pain. Are you taking Alpha Lipoic Acid. I take 600 mg per day. I have used OTC Lidocaine with Blue Emu and it sometimes helps. My dentist claims he got relief from back pain with acupuncture but he is still dealing with neuropathy. He says drinking some warm water with Himalayan pink salt helps. Taking magnesium glycinate an hour before going to bed may help your body to relax and get better sleep. Good luck.
Yes I am taking ALA. I have to be careful with magnesium since it can cause diarrhea and I had 3 months of that during my chemo. The Tylenol seems to help me. Everyone responds differently.
@johnbishop
Yes it is. I’ve had it for about 12 years. … no fun. I keep trying different things most of which don’t help… Watch out for ad’s claiming something that helps…It may for a few hours but nothing long term.
Good luck!

1 ReactionKeep your legs an feet warm at night. Heat does a lot to ease spasms and nerve pain.
