My sister had surgery on 11 discs about 10 months. She went to a transition center and received some PT and OT, but was released and sent home very quickly. She had some in home PT &OT but was soon returned to the Hospital because of weakness/extreme fatigue and a transition center again. This has happened 4 times. Has anyone else had this difficulty? What can be done about the extreme fatigue? How do you fight it?

@nancykunkel I’ve heard recovery from back surgery is awful I cannot imagine recovering from surgery on 11 discs in 10 months A monumental challenge. ❤️ to your sister.
My situation is very simple in comparison. This method may not be suitable for your sister, her recovery seems very, very complex.

@becsbuddy posted a response a few years ago about “The spoon Theory”. Basically it’s measuring the amount of activity I can do without using too many spoons. I vary the number of spoons with my pain level. Spoon Theory info is also available online.
The Spoon Theory has helped me manage my day, fatigue and wellbeing.
Thank you @becsbuddy.
