I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in September last year but my health had been off for years, no energy, fatigue, pain , brain fog and most of the fibromyalgia symptoms going. Pre fibromyalgia I was so energetic I was on the go all the time. I do mourn the old me as I am not so sociable, have lost contact with alot of people and frustrated I am struggling being self employed.I am also frustrated when people don't understand I have changed as I still look the same. It's horrible having to work around fibromyalgia and still waiting for doctors to help me. Had a massive flare after RTA and falling and I have a known slipped disc and Radiculopathy which doesn't help and waiting 34 weeks for neurology appointment. There is a good reason to mourn the old me as there's a big difference between before and after. I think we are allowed to mourn our old selves as long as we can accept and love our new selves.
