...through our last winter i finally bought a little thermostat sits on dresser and was surprised at the low number for humidity. I bought one of those very small humidifiers and it made a big difference. I decided to spend the money and buy distilled water for it and thankfully have not had to clean it inside with bleach and water or vinegar etc. I thought it would help my long term dry eyes but actully didnt... so a bit disappointed.

@lacy2 I have also found a small humidifier to be helpful during the winter months, in upstate Wisconsin, and I also use distilled water. I had to place it in the bathroom of the master bedroom because if it was right next to my bed, it made me feel water-logged by morning. It is also very good for the plants. 🙂
