I’ve had quite a few changes in my body since taking the Reclast. Kidney functions, arthritic pain, muscle pain. Enough to know I will not take another.

@bytheriver
I found this group today and am looking for direction with post-Reclast rapid kidney decline. My side effects from the Dec 27 2025 infusion have been numerous & severe yet my main concern now is kidney function. Does anyone know how to mitigate the damage caused. I'm open to studies and referrals.

@bytheriver I'm in the same boat. I had a Reclast infusion in January 2025. Two weeks later, I had terrible right-knee pain and swelling and went to the emergency department to be checked out for a blood clot. They found out it was a Baker's cyst-- which they thought could be due to arthritis. I never had arthritis before and no one in my immediate family had. Right after the right knee was damaged, the left knee then had a Baker's cyst and I went to physical therapy which helped (but I still get knee flare-ups sometimes). My joints and muscles have been stiff since the 2025 infusion-- before that I was very limber. The latest flare-up is my left hip. I have a sports medicine appointment this week to check on the reason-- I assume it is new arthritis. I will not take Reclast again either. But I am at a loss about what comes next. I took Prolia for many years and was fine with that, never any problems.
