@readandlearn I too was on two stints of Lupron (9 months, and then later one year without any noticeable major side effects. Once while waiting for my quarterly shot there was another patient waiting for his shot, expressing dread, knowing from past experience the dose is going to kick the crap out of him. Until then I didn’t know how lucky I was.

One reason doctors may prescribed Lupron or Eligard is the cost. Most insurance will cover the injections, but oral meds are expensive.
I’m on Orgovyx + Nubequa now with a $2000 Medicare Rx supplement copay cap.

Lupron is not exactly cheap. My health provider started charging me $400 for a six-month shot of Lupron. That was 20% of the $2,000 billed amount.

That may be considered cheap since six months. Check this out

Makes Orgovyx seem reasonable.

@jeffmarc Insane lack of consistency in healthcare costs. My lupron administered in a clinic setting was covered 100%. The only advice is always check first.

Thanks for the feedback so far! Appreciate all of it.
I did the Eligard and 4 days later no real problems yet. I know it’s early and I’m prepping the best I can with exercise and eating better. Taking Vit D & K w MCT oil.
Going back to USA in a month so will seek some more opinions and look into the pill form for round two after the Eligard cycles thru in 3 months.
Already signing up for blood panels monthly for testosterone and PSA levels , as well as other biomarkers.
So much information out there that it’s difficult to determine the “correct” path. I have to get regular ultrasounds to monitor the benign tumor in my kidney as well.

I struggle with my sugar addiction so considering a GLp-1 for the next few months to aid in my weight loss.
Anyone else do that?

I started with the Eligard...4 days isn't really enough time, as it more slowly decreases T than Firmagon. In my case Eligard hit my CV (heart). I switched to Firmagon after nearly succumbing to heart failure (a pacemaker now!!) and near-stroke BP while on Eligard...
Take everything with a grain or pound of salt!! Every body is different! The "correct" path may and does change over time.
You're on the right track with supplements. In addition to what you mentioned, I take CV support (800mg CoQ10, magnesium taurate, good oils---Omega 3,6 and 9, olive oil, oil of oregano with blackseed oil). Liver support is good to do, as my, as well as others, ALP and AST went up.
Last, I would definitely talk to your doctor before starting GLp-1...
Blessings to you on your path...
