Anyone taking Tagrisso for Lung Cancer?

Is There anyone taking Tagrisso And feeling well on it. I’m taking 40 mg of Tagrisso I have a little bit of Dizziness. I was on 80 mg but I developed a lot of bruising on my legs so my doctor put me On 40 mg. Is this a good drug?

@frane sorry to hear that. please let her oncologist know the symptoms she's experiencing. Tagrisso (osimertinib) can affect the heart in myriad ways. best to have her evaluated to make sure it's still a safe treatment option for her.

I had stage 4 lung cancer but after 2 years on Tagrisso my Pet scan cannot detect any cancer. I have had lots of side effects but have conquered most of them. For muscle cramps or spasms, spray Magnesium oil directly on the area. The cramp should release within a few seconds. I had Diarrhea for months until I found a product that worked. It is called EMMA , made by Enclove Bioactives. I take it every day and no more diarrhea. Make sure that you order it directly from the company (I found it on EBAY, but it is a fake product). For mouth sores, I tried the magic mouthwash and it just made my mouth numb, no healing at all. Rinse with baking soda water several times a day. Also, check your toothpaste. I read that fluoride can aggravate mouth sores, so I started using Dessert Essence toothpaste with tea tree and neem (no Fluoride). Within a few days, all of my mouth sores were gone and have not come back. I also had a stomach issues. I found that acupuncture really helped. Hope this helps you.

I am on 80mg of Tegrisso for Stage 4 metastatic lung cancer since March 29, 2025. I experience many of the side effects, however , i went from unbearable pain for three months before diagnosis and two months, thank God, after treatment I was able to walk again.
Using floss, pick, water pik, brush, and mouth wash after eating has helped. At first, mouthwash and toothpaste were so uncomfortable. My dentist recommended Cloysis and this helped.
The journey has been remarkable since taking Tegrisso.

I’ve been on 80 mg for almost 1 year and have had no side effects. Scared to ever stop, scans have been great concerning stage 4 metastatic lung CA.

Welcome @rthdoyle, Is your Hurthle Cell in the lung? Did it originate in the thyroid?

Yes it originated in the thyroid and is now in both lungs

I’m on a 80mg regimen. Extreme swelling of my calves and feet as well as discoloration of ankles occurred. Oncologist sent me to cardiologist. Cardiologist changed BP meds. Dramatic reduction in swelling although some swelling remains in ankles.

Thank you. I’m fighting metastatic lung cancer. Lesions are still healing. I see both cardiologist and oncologist next month and will discuss with them.
