Burning tingling sensation all over face
Not sure if this is the proper place for this. I suffer from a burning tingling face yet my face if anything feels cold to touch. My legs feel damp under my trousers. None of this is life threatening I'm sure but so difficult to deal with. Would love to hear from anyone with similar symptoms or answers. Thank you.

I too have been experiencing constant pulling/tightness that began in my face last January and has progressed to burning sensations throughout my entire body. I spent 2 weeks at Mayo ruling out all kinds of diseases and sadly the conclusion is idiopathic neuropathy that has caused centralized sensitization - meaning that my cns has rewired itself and my nerves are misfiring pain signals..
Gabapentin doesn't work for me and I've been taking pregabalin, however it isn't working anymore. Just to sleep I am taking lunesta, Ativan. & Melatonin. But I wake up at several times in excruciating pain.
The pain therapist say in need to let go of the fear that is causing the stress that makes it worse. Sort of impossible to to when your body is on fire.

2 Reactions@canjpt Hello there,
Do you have burning inside your head and mouth?
I’ve been diagnosed with Small Fiber Neuropathy but have not found any relief for the neuropathy throughout my body!
I’m so sorry you’re going through this as well!!🙏🏼🙏🏼
@jandy88us yes my mouth as well. PET/CT scan didn't show anything neither did blood tests. I left mayo without a diagnosis...though in still waiting on results of a skin biopsy that was taken there almost 2 weeks ago.
I have been told basically to work on not thinking about it and trying relaxation techniques which is very pretty much impossible when living in constant pain that keep getting worse. I am so depressed and depleted I just don't know what to do. The pain meds only make my feel out of it and more wobbly but I'm in so much pain and .not getting any period of relief beyond the mild relief that standing in a shower can sometimes bring. I just don't know how to continue.

@windyshores my sister is also facing similar issues but has started recently. She has burning sensation on the left side of her face.
She has done the MRI PET scan which shows a patch on the left side. Can you share if possible what is your experience. What is the cause of this? Hope you are feeling better now
Welcome @meenakshic26, Sorry to hear that your sister has burning sensation on the left side of her face. This sounds similar to the symptoms of trigeminal neuralgia - https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/trigeminal-neuralgia/symptoms-causes/syc-20353344. Has your sister been able to discuss the test results with her doctor to see what the next step is for treatment?
Actually it is not pain but a burning sensation
It has been a month we are not sure if this is because of stress or something else. As she was under lot of stress for since 5-6 months.
Doctor has given her medicine ESZY Plus H for six weeks to see if it because of stress. Can you please suggest something which can be done at home to make her feel better

Hi, I am sorry but I really have nothing to help you with. In December 23 I had a pituitary tumor removed. For many years before this I was suffering from this burning sensation, tingling all over my face. It was thought that the tumor could have been causing this. The removal of the tumor did not cure the problem. I still have the same problem today. I have had all sorts of scans and all sorts of nerve medicine but no cure. I am sorry that this is all negative but it is my experience. Please let me know if you come up with answers and god bless you. Matt.

Are there any other symptoms other than the burning sensation, which you are facing. Does it affect leading a normal life. If you come across any medicine for this please let me know.
Thanks.
