Cramping in calves when walking then neuropathy in feet kicks in

Posted by gmop3z @gmop3z, May 15 8:08am

Told I have mild PN in feet. I have calf cramps when walking and then after about 7 minutes the tingling in my feet starts. Used to love walking now it's miserable. Do weights E-gym and yoga B complex and D3+k2. Any suggestions to eliminate this pain?

Hello @gmop3z, Welcome to Connect. I've never had the cramping when walking with my idiopathic small fiber peripheral neuropathy in my legs and feet. My only symptoms are numbness and some tingling. It sounds like you are pretty active which seems like it's a good thing when you have neuropathy. You mentioned you have been told you have a mild peripheral neuropathy (PN) in your feet and the symptoms start when you are walking. Is your pain all of the time or just when you are walking? Have you ever seen a podiatrist or other foot specialist to see if there might be other causes for your symptoms?

I would try hydration and electrolytes.

I agree with you on hydration and electrolytes. Easiest place to start. And very beneficial.
