@jeaniem I've been scheduled for this procedure the day prior to surgery. My doctor is going to prescribe a Valium, and I am planning on taking an Uber. I'm sure that anytime they stick us with a needle, it is painful.... I've been told the pain only lasts a second or two. My biggest hope is that I glow in the dark afterwards. 🙂 Good luck to you, and I have some lidocaine cream. I think that's a great idea. However, you may want to check with your doctor first. Cream may interfere with the procedure. -Jane

Thanks. I have had biospy needle that was truly just a pinch, but the mri biospy with the retroareolar needles behind the nipple really hurt! I would not use the cream before a biospy for fear that it might skew results, but I plan to ask about the cream.
