Affordable Wheelchair Accessible Transportation from Minneapolis (MSP)

Posted by amax0550 @amax0550, May 1 2:33pm

Anyone have any experience securing transportation from MSP to Mayo that is manual wheelchair friendly and doesn't cost $300 one way? Spouse can self transfer (but not to the height of a passenger van). Groome Transportation has an accessible van but it has been "in for repairs" for more than 6 weeks and they can't give a clear answer when (or if) it will be repaired. I have just over two weeks to secure transportation for our first trip to Mayo. Thank you for any leads you can provide!

@amax0550, I agree with @sandy8043's recommendation to contact Mayo Clinic's Concierge Services:
https://www.mayoclinic.org/patient-visitor-guide/minnesota/concierge-services
By phone: 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central time, Monday-Friday: 507-538-8438

Were you able to contact them and find a service suitable for your husband?
