Severe chronic back pain
Severe chronic back pain…I’ve suffered for years and have been told different things about my back pain, I was told taking weight off would help ive last 50 pounds and no relief if anything it’s getting worse. I’m having a hard time doing basic things without being in severe pain. I’ve done massage Acupuncture physical therapy serval times. Now I’m just frustrated about even going to the doctor cause nothing changes. It hurts to even walk and my big toes on both feet are numb. What should I do I’m losing hope and I don’t know how much more pain I can handle. Please help

Same thing happened to me. Was put under for the L1-L5 procedure. While under they messed around and decided that they had to do the cervical thing first. So they woke me up and sent me home. Was another 9 weeks of agony before the L1-L5 would happen.

Really appreciate your motivating message. Pilates and strength training are so helpful to keep going. I suffer from constant headache pain. Trying to stay off medications with terrible side effects.
Thanks so much for your positive approach.
I can definitely relate to you and the terrible pain that you are going through. I have PN and lower back lumbar stenosis. I've tried many pain medications for both. Had a spine stimulator put in my hip. Didn't work. I do have a good neuropathy pain doctor. He is very aware of my chronic pain, and he is now in the process of wanting to put a PAIN PUMP in my left hip. He has to get my insurance approval first before he can proceed. I have such a very bad BURNING PAIN in my lower back. Been told that that is the nerve endings causing that burning. Due to the pain, sleep is almost a thing of the past. I really do hope that you can find a doctor that can give you some kind of a pain relief medication. Please do not give up.... I'm still hanging in there and it has been going on 6 years now for the pain. I just keep watching and hoping that there will be some kind of technology come forth that can help with this CHRONIC PAIN that we suffer with.

3 ReactionsI have had severe back pain for 10 years. At first I didn’t take any medication. The pain would get bad around 3-4 o’clock. My pain started to get worse earlier until I had to quit working. I can only do a few things in the morning and then I have to lie down most of the day.

2 ReactionsHas anyone tried stem cell therapy for severe lumbar pain? I have DDD and a pinched nerve. My pain is constant, and nothing seems to help it. I've had numerous steroid injections, ablation, etc. I'm at my wits' end to find something that will alleviate the pain. Any ideas would really be appreciated.
Thank you.

1 ReactionI am going through the same pain and suffering. My biggest complaint is that the doctors don’t prescribe pain medication anymore. Even though I have never been a person who has abused medication. So I have been tempted to try another doctor outside of Mayo Clinic. But for now I do exactly as you do , suffer. I wish you the best

1 Reaction@ikemike12 I'm sorry you're dealing with the same thing. Pain pills don't work for me. I just take 2 ibuprofen and 2 Tylenol everyday. Good luck!

Hi, I have all those symptoms you have mentioned and I’m still going to pain management for my injections. The doctors can’t give me a specific diagnosis really.

QUESTION: To all CHRONIC PAIN SUFFERER'S. Have any of you had a PAIN PUMP surgically implanted in hip for pain relief? If so, how or is the pain pump helping you? During my last appointment with my neuro pain doctor, he recommended this. He (neuro pain doctor) is now in the process of getting my insurance to approve the PAIN PUMP for me.
