I have several chronic conditions but none are as serious as cancer. I can tell you that knowing your “triggers” and what is and isn’t normal for you is one of the most important things I’ve learned since being diagnosed with my mental illnesses over 25 years ago. We must be our strongest advocate.
Don’t let a doctor rush you. If you have questions, ask them, and don’t leave until you understand. I received wonderful advice when I was trying to find housing in my early addiction recovery. “Don’t leave without getting another place to check.” If someone says they can’t help you, ask who might be able to help.
We are the clients. The medical staff and insurance companies and everyone else are there to help us. Don’t feel like you have to “just accept it” (whatever “it” is).
Good luck to you ♥️

1 ReactionI'm so sorry, and I can understand your situation. I also had a diagnosis of ocular melanoma.. have just had brachytherapy last month. This cancer involves so much uncertainty, and reminds us that we do not know what tomorrow might bring. You're not alone in this. For myself, I have found that getting a good sleeping medicine has been helpful. I can handle most things if I can get a good night's sleep. Peace can come. Try to deal with your relationship problems, one by one. Start with the one that's mostly on your mind. Put things right if you can.
And move on to the next thing. It's amazing how this can lift your mood, and improve your day.
With many kind thoughts...

I take Trazadone & it seems to work for sleep.
Ask your physician.
Maybe even an over the counter like ZZQuil for a few night, just to get at least
one nights sleep. But be sure to ask your pharmacist about safety= interections
with the meds you are already taking. Good luck.
