Confusion, fear and feel like I’m falling apart
I’ve lost 75lbs in the last year, I’m not trying! I have a lump on my side that’s extremely painfully. 7 docs blew me off then one found in their notes from March of 2025 that I needed an IMMEDIATE MRI w/wo contrast. I also have Lupus. Hubby has cancer from chin to his thighs.THEY TOLD HIM 2-3yrs at best. I’m having flares, plus. Have severe migraines from TMJ. . Just kinda lost

Oh plus they are checking me for an enlarged bile duct on my liver and pancreas. Guess when it rains it pours. If it keeps raining like this I’m gonna build an ark!
Sounds like you need a doctor who will follow through. Is there a teaching hospital in your area? They are usually the best resource for getting to the bottom of complex problems. Don’t give up. If there is not one close by, find the nearest one and start your journey to get some answers. Wishing you the best of luck and better health for both of you.

2 ReactionsDid the MRI discover something?
I have been having stomach pains & had a gall bladder scan= nothing found.
I asked does that mean I don't have gall stones? They said don't know as the
scan was not looking for those..........what? Trying to get an appt with a gastro doc
& have one in JULY! I think I may have to go to the emergency room to get help.
Maybe you should try it??? A teaching hospital= yes.

1 ReactionYou have a LOT going on right now in your life.
Been there, done that, both sick taking care of each other. Challenging to say the least, and when doctors are more of a hindrence than a help, it essculates the frustrations. My husband died of cancer. The only tip I can give you is, remember what they tell you on a plane, take the oxygen first before helping the person next to you. You are no help to them if you can't breathe. My husband dropped me off at a hospital hours out of town, a few days later came back and asked if I wanted to stay or come with him to another hospital for his surgery. I checked out, and helped him. No regrets.

I understand, my cardio doctor is not avalible until DECEMBER! Idk what is going on with the lack of time doctors have for us... are they grossly overbooking, or no one wants to work in the medical field? Sometime I feel like I live in a third world country. I visited enough of them, so I know the insanity of it.
@msmarymac
I agree totally.
A nurse told me to go to the Emergency room next time & they will get me
a gastroenterologist which I did not understand before.
I thought you were just stuck with a "hospitalist" & one of the ones I saw
before was a jerk & I heard the same complaint from other neighbors so
I knew it wasn't just me.
So you might try the ER.

3 ReactionsMy local hospital was so bad, people used to say, if you want to die, go to that hospital.
Another company took over and changed it radically, not physically, just faster, kinder and more efficient.
Sometimes we have to complain to get change.
It worked!
I'm an old hippy, and protest, make calls, bump chests for a better world. 🌾🐝🌻
@msmarymac From one (aging, not old🤣) hippie to another - my Dad always said "the squeaky wheel gets the grease" - thanks for continuing to work for change!
We had a similar hospital near our winter home - it was so bad Medicare suspended them! The local doctors led the charge, local activists got appointed to the board, the "executive team" was replaced and they turned it around in less than 4 years.

Wow, I didnt know Medicare could suspend a hospital! They must have been pretty bad. Not sure how long it took my local hospital to flip, but it was around that same amount of time. 🌼
