Appreciation for this Group

To the Bladder Cancer Support Group:

I would like to take this time to say how much I value this support group. The sincerity and empathy with which members post their messages and reply to others surely deserves much recognition and praise.

The extreme kindness, understanding and dispensation of useful information by both members and volunteers/mentors is invaluable. Many of my fears have been quelled with a clearer understanding of bladder cancer and its ramifications and the knowledge that there are many excellent treatment modalities. I slowly learn and gain a sense of assurance. When a sufferer's inherent fears associated with bc are demystified, the path toward wellness is made clearer by understanding one's choices.

If given a choice - I am sure none of us would have opted to meet urologists, surgeons and all those associated professionals dealing with bc. However, having bc - we can take solace and be assured that living in this modern time with not only technological advances but more importantly - physicians with excellent knowledge and expertise, great medical breakthroughs and the variety of treatment options - we will be in good hands.

Most of all, I admire the inner strength, courage and determination members possess even in the face of bc. A person need not feel isolated when experiencing fear and apprehension. It is a comforting support to know there are those who understand to whom we can reach out.

Thank you.
Bobbie

You are very welcome Bobbie, and you have been sharing your experiences with others so you are also a recipient of your thank you. Connect is so appropriately named as it brings together the patients who can share their knowledge, and most importantly, their support. It always helps to know others who are or were traveling the same path. Thank you for your appreciation and input.
