I have SIBO- hydrogen type. It's chronic and I've had it on and off for 2 years but consistently for the last 9 months. Xifaxan worked the first time but not the last time. I'm following a SIBO diet and if I deviate from it I have serious chronic diarrhea.
My local GI agrees that it's time to refer me elsewhere. I am on the gulf coast of Fl and can go to Mayo in Jacksonville or Cleveland Clinic in Weston. She referred me to Cleveland but they have basically said there are no SIBO specialists there. Can you recommend someone at Mayo?

I do not have personal experience with SIBO but can help with information Mayo Clinic provides.

They have two doctors that focus on Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) and they are both in Jacksonville:
- Doctors that treat SIBO at Mayo Clinic (overview, diagnosis & treatment too)

Your doctor can refer you or or you can self-refer using this link: http://mayocl.in/1mtmR63l

Would you let me know what you find out, what your next steps are?
