Thanks for responding and looked up your medication and the side effect of insomnia is not something I want to use yet - in June I am going for a well patient appt. and am looking forward to just talking to the dr about all my ills - they do this to learn more about the patient which can't hurt.

When I take such a mild dose of xanax it really helps with the only side effect is relaxation and nothing else. My husband died and was on fire before last Thanksgiving and so I live alone - only have 2 children as I am not from Kansas so glad I have these two wonderful children and like my son said for now if it works take it - you are not taking large doses - I have to get through each day lots of time alone but do have friends. I am going to church now - am going to focus on our priest and not about me and my neuropathy. My kids tell me I am obsessing too much. I go for my acupuncture on Monday - she feels I need 10 treatments - we shall see. Like my dr said it wont hurt you. I sure thank you for responding to me. Good luck to you and all who have this problem. I guess I usually always had good health but all of a sudden this and felt boy 82 isn't all that great but all you have to do is look around and see sooo much worse and sooo much suffering from other people. Keep in touch.

I take nortripelene
I sleep all night with no pain including the burning and numbness
Ask your doctor. This drug is also for depression but really works on neuropathy
