I too would like info on this lower dosage trial. Two years ago at 78 y o, my surgeon recommended a mastectomy and reconstruction. I refused
In 12 days, I’ll turn 80, have a new surgeon, and an appointment with a new med onc.
This is on my agenda for certain!! Same thing happened with fractions of radiation— they’ve been vastly reduced in the standard number prescribed. Some of us remember those days, and some are living with the results of too much radiation. Live & learn…

@mimi09 yes, I am 72 & was diagnosed in August with stage 1 ILC. Had lumpectomy & 5-day radiation & now take half-dose (10 mg) of Tamoxifen. It's all been pretty easy & no real side effects. I agree, treatments are getting better!
